You know the special features of an elderly person's health counseling, health examinations and rehabilitative work approach and related counseling. You will use a variety of wellness technologies and digitalisation to promote and interact with the health of older people. - You understand the meaning of home care and services, technology in ageing and the multiprofessional cooperation in gerontological nursing.

Content
- Key principles of nursing for the older people: values, ethical principles, key legislation and recommendations.
- Resources as a basis for promoting healthy and functional aging.
- Prerequisites for health and well-being (inc. nutrition, physical performance, safe medication, sexual health, prevention of falls, prevention of pressure ulcers) and key challenges (inc. loneliness, exclusion, abuse).
- Palliative care of patiet with memory disorder.
- Valuable end of life for the old people.
- Organizing the services for the older people, homeservices, service guidance, rehabilitative nursing, involvement of relatives in the care of the older people.
- Gerontechnology and digitalozation in care and everyday living support for older people.
- Functional assessment, main scanmethods and meters, care and service planning, care and service plan.

Flipped-learning: Moodle learning environment, where independent study and preparation for contact lessons.
Contact lessons ncluding: 4h theory lessons, 6h CPR practice + workshop, 8h clinical skills revision (drug and fluid therapy + chronic wounds), 4h patient data management (patient safety + nursing classification), 8h simulations + patient data revision, 8h seminar.

You will be able to work in a sudden birth, perform a regular postpartum examination and assess the need for support for the newborn child and his or her family and take supportive measures.
You know the laws and recommendations related to the promotion of sexual and reproductive health. You know sexual rights and the development and manifestation of sexuality at different stages of a person’s life

Risk factors for pregnancy and their identification and treatment guidance. Prevention and talk of substance abuse and intimate partner violence
Home visit to a family expecting a child / having a child
