Teaching methods

The Commerce and Entrepreneurship study module consists of three online courses worth five credits. You can complete the courses independently, regardless of time and place. The courses contain current information about the commerce sector, and the K-Group serves as an example. It is recommended to start the module after completing basic studies. You can also choose only the course you want from the three study modules. The aim of the study module is to provide current information about the commerce sector, also from an entrepreneurial perspective, for your future career path.

In these studies, you study and write assignments. The assignments are diverse and require in-depth study of the topics covered, which will give you a comprehensive understanding of the retail industry and job tasks. There are no lectures in the course, as you study all the assignments independently online. The grade consists of assessed areas, such as exam questions, discussions and larger assignments to be returned. After completing the Commerce and Entrepreneurship study module (15 ECTS), you can apply for a €300 scholarship from the Retail Vocational Education Foundation.

Retail Sales and Digitalization is the second course in the Retail and Entrepreneurship course. You will understand how the success factors of retail are built on the basis of a business idea. You will learn about different customer segments, assortment, sales processes, multi-channel and marketing to support sales. You will learn the importance of retail digitalization and customer experience.
The course uses the K-Group as an example, but the course also provides a lot of information about the retail sector in general.
