Objective

The aim is that you
- can apply research and development methods
- acquire skills needed in the thesis process
- understand the purpose and use of various innovative methods in the fields of health and social care and education (e.g. experimental development and service design)
- can apply various innovation methods
- become familiar with the methods for futures research

Content

A multidisciplinary and multi-professional approach
The study unit / the course is divided into two sections:
- A: multidisciplinary development and innovation, 2cr
- B: field-specific section; basics of the thesis, 2 cr

Teaching methods

Employer connections

Opintojaksolla aloitetaan opinnäytetyön tekeminen, joten työelämän yhteistyökumppani on tärkeä osa tulevaa opinnäytetyötänne. Opinnäytetyö on työelämälähtöinen kehittämistyö. Opinnäytetyö tehdään 2-3 opiskelijan ryhmässä. Opiskelijoita kehoitetaan miettimään valmiiksi opinnäytetyön aihe ja toimeksiantaja sekä kontaktoitumaan työelämään, mahdollisesti jo ennen opintojakson alkamista.
