The student 
* understands the importance and dimensions of corporate social responsibility
* understands the main factors affecting profitability in a tourism SME
* is able to analyse the profitability and social responsibility of a tourism SME and suggest recommendations for improvement

Business environment analysis (external analysis), including corporate social responsibility in tourism context.
Factors affecting profitability (internal analysis)
Cost-volume-profit analysis
Link between productivity and profitability
Seasonal variations as a challenge for business
Analysis of a predefined tourism business case

Student workload

The course is 5 ECTS which corresponds to 135 hours of student work.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

For a passing grade the student has to actively participate in teamwork and submit requested assignments.
