Objective

Learning objectives:

On completion of the course, you are familiar with the theory of project work and you can adapt the project development timeline in the management of your own development work. You can analyze and apply development and project work methods in the social and educational sectors. You can apply community-oriented practices to development work. You understand the concepts of the network and socio-cultural animation, and their significance to project and community work. You can plan, implement and evaluate development projects. You recognize the importance of art and culture in enhancing well-being and you acquire skills to engage cultural actors in everyday work in the social welfare sector.

• The theory of development and project work. The different phases and methods of a project
• The funding of development activities in the social welfare sector
• The planning, implementation, and assessment of a project in different stages
• Regional and community development, networking as an essential part of development activity
• Socio-cultural animation, community art, and promotion of well-being

Location and time

Opintojakso käynnistyy itsenäisellä työskentelyllä ja jatkuu orientaatiolla viikolla 11.

Teaching methods

Opintojakson keskeiset teemat ovat projektikehittäminen, yhteisökehittäminen ja verkosto-systeemitason työ. Teemoja käsitellään yhteisillä opetuskerroilla sekä itsenäisesti. Opintojakson sisältöjen käytäntöön soveltaminen tapahtuu pienryhmissä toteutettavan projektitehtävän avulla. Projektit toteutetaan työelämätoimijoille ja kehittämishankkeille.

Opintojakson projektitehtävät tehdään työelämätoimijoille ja kehittämishankkeille.

International connections

Opintojaksolla voi olla yhteistyötä kv-toimijoiden kanssa.

Completion alternatives

Vaihtoehtoisesti opiskelija voi tehdä projektitehtävän "oma toimeksianto" organisaatiolle, jossa työskentelee.

Student workload

Opintojakso vastaa 5 op työmäärää (yhteensä 135 h opiskelijan työtä, josta noin 70 h osuus toteutuu pienryhmätyöskentelynä sekä toimeksiantajayhteistyössä).

Mikäli opiskelijalla on riittävästi työkokemusta hankkeen eri vaiheista (vähintään yksi vuosi) työkokemusta sosiaali-, terveys tai kuntoutusalan tai varhaiskasvatusalan projekti- tai hanketyön työntekijän työkokemusta, hän voi ahotoida opintojakson aiemmin hankitulla ammatillisella työkokemuksellaan (tapauskohtainen ja harkinnanvarainen).
- Aiempien opintojen aikana tehty harjoittelu tai työvoimapoliittisissa toimenpiteissä suoritettu työkokeilu tai harjoittelu eivät tarkoita ammatillista työkokemusta.
- Opintojakson suorittaminen näytöllä edellyttää aiemmin hankitun osaamisen peilaamista opintojakson tavoitteisiin ja arviointikriteereihin. Projekti- ja yhteisökehittämisen opintojakson näyttö on hankeosaamisen näyttö opintojaksolla (luento etänä tai livenä) tai raportti.
- Raportoinnissa noudatat opintojakson raportointiohjeita (raporttiohje Moodlessa).
