Objective
This course covers responsible tourism and effective communication. Despite growing interest, information on responsible tourism services is limited, and entrepreneurs struggle to make it appealing to consumers. This poses a challenge for future tourism professionals.
Learning outcomes:
• Understand responsible choices to inform customers.
• Learn about responsible communication in tourism generally.
• Identify the components of responsible communication within the tourism sector.
• Recognize whitewashing and greenwashing in tourism communications.

• CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Communication
• Responsible Communication in Rural Tourism
• Cultural Sustainable Communication
Teaching methods
This course focuses on responsible tourism and how to communicate it. Interest in responsible tourism services has grown in recent years, but information on responsible tourism services is scarce or entrepreneurs are unable to communicate them in such a way as to appeal to the ordinary consumer. This is a challenge for future tourism professionals.
Learning outcomes
After this course, you will have the knowledge to tell your customers about responsible choices. You will also learn about what responsible communication in tourism means in general.
