Objective

The student is able to job in the development work of a company according to the principles of Lean Six Sigma. The student is able to identify opportunities for improving processes or operating methods and is able to determine their significance. The student is able to implement a goal-oriented small-scale Six Sigma project according to the DMAIC method. The student is able to solve practical problems with the help of Lean Six Sigma tools and methods, by searching information about problems and solving them with object oriented and result oriented manner.

• Lean Six Sigma thinking and operations basics
• Selection and assignment of a development project
• Determining the customer and customer needs of the current process
• Description of the current process and process activities
• Measurement and collection of the process data which is relevant to development work
• Using the graphs to describe the data collected about the process and to view the data statistically
• Analysis of the operation of the process using a process capability indexes, a control charts and appropriate statistical methods
• Identifying the root causes and problems of process development target and generating development ideas against root causes
• Prioritizing the founded development ideas and implementation of the chosen ideas with the help of (DOE) Design Over Experiment test
• Planning the permanent process change, with help of Lean Six Sigma tools such as, visual control, statistical process control and control plan
