Objective

Familiarisation with studying:

You will
-learn how to use the services and learning environments offered by the University of Applied Sciences.
-learn to assess your own competence and professional development, and become familiar with the practice of development discussions.
-also be familiar with the key regulations governing your studies, such as degree regulations and credit transfer practices.
-also be familiar with the activities and services of the Students' Union.

-Getting to know Karelia's information systems: Karelia.fi, PAKKI, PEPPI, ATOMI, study guide, work schedules, EXAM, and Intranet.
-Studying at a university; field-specific information, language information, study guidance, study counselors, YTHS, parish, international services, and the student union POKA
- Examination regulations, general operating practices and rules, and general and field-specific competencies
-Library and information services, information retrieval
-Preparing a personal study plan (HOPS)
-Student well-being, introduction to VIP student activities and VIP selection
- Information related to international internships and studies
