Objective
You understand the concepts of bioeconomy, regional development and sustainable growth- is able to find, understand and apply strategic development documents at regional level is able to elaborate project idea and make a plan- you are able to communicate effectively in diverse teams- you are able to involve relevant stakeholders into regional development processes.
Content
1. Bioeconomy frame and indicators in SMART regions2. EU bioeconomy and regional policy framework, legislation and main challenges 2014-2023. Practical examples/cases from participating countries4. Multicultural communication: concepts and processes5. Basics of project management: project cycle, project work plan 6. Integration of communication strategies and stakeholders engagement
Main task on the course is to make a plan for a development project.
-- Making a project plan for solving / diminishing economical, ecological and/ or social problems of a country, area, region or municipality
in effective and sustainable ways.
Active operators, possible cooperation partners e.g. NGO:s. Private and public finance for the project (EU funding instruments etc.) SWOT analysis. Preliminary cost assesment. Targets and goals of the project both in the short term and long term. Benchmarking against similar projects in other areas.
