How to use the Study Guide
In this Study Guide, you can find information on education organised by Karelia University of Applied Sciences; the curricula, descriptions of study units, and ongoing and upcoming implementations. Previous curricula, including information on study units and the implementations of study units, can be found in this archive.
Schedules for each study group and study unit are available in the Scheduling Tool in Lukkarikone.
Students of Karelia UAS enroll for study units in Peppi. Other than Karelia UAS students enroll via Open UAS.

Bachelor’s Degree: Daytime implementation
Daytime implementation mainly includes full-time studies. Here you can also find information on complementary studies and business academy studies.
Bachelor’s Degree: Multimodal implementation
In multimodal implementation, studying is flexible and studies can be partly conducted alongside with work. The studies consist of contact teaching and distance studies, independent studies, and/or supervised group work.
Master’s Degree
Master’s degree studies are intended for UAS graduates who are currently working and wishing for deepening and expanding their competence. Here you can also find information on complementary studies for Master’s Degree students.
Open UAS
Open UAS studies can be taken by anyone regardless of age or previous education. Open UAS studies allows you to obtain skills needed at work, to get acquainted with UAS studies, or to obtain general knowledge in matters that interest you. Open UAS studies can be found in Open UAS website.
Specialisation studies
Specialisation studies are long-term studies aimed at employees who wish to enhance their professional development and specialisation.
Preparatory training for immigrants
The aim of the preparatory education is that the student is admitted to a higher education institution in Finland and can succeed in their studies. Finnish language proficiency develops during the education from level B1 to B2.
