Objective
After the course, you will be able to:
- understand how different aspects of non-fossil energy sources, sustainable use of raw materials, etc can influence climate change
- identify ways to affect co2 emissions in your own life
- understand differences of cliamte adaptation in different parts of the world
- know some methods and strategies used to adapt to climate change and build resilience
- participate and contribute to an international conference
Content
The topics of the conference include different aspects of carbon neutrality and using non fossil fuels in different doamins of society.
The course consists of participation in the Zero Carbon Conference for Students, active participation in the discussion during the conference and a written assignment after the conference.
The Conference will be online in Zoom and streamed in YouTube.
Registration to the course is considered as consent for participation in research about young people’s views and thoughts about the topics of the conference. The assignments and discussions within the course can be used as research data. The participants cannot be identified from any published reports. Information about the research will be sent separately to the registered students.
Location and time
The Zero Carbon Conference will be held 8-9 February 10-12:15 Eastern European Time.
The assignments are to be submitted by 12 March.
