Assessment criteria

Accepted: The student demonstrates an active approach to developing the business by examining the company's operations through anticipating changes, innovative development of operations and services, resource allocation, and building collaboration. The student deepens their knowledge independently, seeking source materials and examples from the operating environment. They show the ability to apply the acquired knowledge, utilizing various methods in a versatile and appropriate manner. The student can justify their choices and anticipate the effects of actions on business operations. Failed: The student has not successfully completed all course assignments, or assignments have not been submitted within the given deadlines and guidelines.

The training program is entirely conducted online. Online meetings (on Creve Zoom): • Kick-off meeting: Oct 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM • Online Coaching 1: Nov 1, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM • Online Coaching 2: Nov 22, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM • Online Coaching 3: Dec 13, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM • Online Coaching 4: Jan 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM • Online Coaching 5: Jan 31, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM • Final Meetings: Feb 13-14, 2025, times to be arranged with participants Small group mentoring sessions will be arranged among participants at the start of the coaching program.

Teaching methods

Business Development in Creative Industries 10 cr operates as a training program for entrepreneurs in the creative industries to enhance their own business and business development. The training program includes the following methods: - Online coaching sessions - Group discussions and workshop-style activities - Independent study and exercises - Small group mentoring.

Student workload

The training program, equivalent to 10 ECTS credits, corresponds to approximately 270 hours of group and independent work (25hrs online training and 245hrs development work for participant's own company). The program's contents and tasks are linked to the development of the participant's own or represented company, facilitating learning through development activities.
