Objective

The course aims to give an introduction to the theory of Salutogenesis and the central concepts of the salutogenetic perspective on health.-You are exploring the concepts of the salutogenic theory and reflecting on how they can be applied, from the perspective of being a student or as a professional in your field.-You are also introduced to practical skills and –tools to develop a mindset that is sensitive to achieving and maintaining own well-being.After completing the course, the student:Has gained a theoretical as well as practical understanding of the main concepts of the salutogenic perspective on health: comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness.Can analyze everyday situations, life domains, and work contexts based on the salutogenic perspectiveDemonstrates increased awareness of the important role of maintaining own well-being in personal and professional life.Is familiar with different coping strategies, self-help tools, and (where and when to seek help when needed.)Reflects personal experiences to the theoretical knowledge of the salutogenic perspective and sense of coherence in relation to own well-being.
