Content scheduling

The deadlines for the course assignments will be given in the beginning of the course. Latest deadline for all assignments is at the end of the course. AI generated content is not allowed in submissions for this course and the quality will be monitored both by the Turnitin tool and manually. Non-active students will be removed from the course after the first three weeks. Activity is demonstrated by participation in the orientation lecture and completing the introductory tasks in Moodle.

Objective

Cultural tourism is one of the oldest sector in the tourism industry. This course aims to enhance your understanding of the international and national cultural tourism sector and its various aspects. The course contents help you to understand its significance related to tourism development. The knowledge and skills gained from this course can be effectively utilized in your career plans and in various positions within the tourism industry. Competences Proactive development, Sustainable development, Tourism business Learning objectives You understand the importance of cultural tourism at the national and international levels. You are aware of national strategies and development policies that promote cultural themes. You possess an understanding of the various concepts, phenomena, and unique characteristics of cultural tourism, enabling you to analyse operations easily. You can identify different actors and operations within the cultural tourism industry. You also recognize the cultural motivators of travelers.

Location and time

The course is virtual and is implemented in Moodle learning environment. The course is based on independent studying.

During the course, you will have access to a wide range of learning materials, such as videos, articles, research reports and relevant websites of the operators. The materials are easily accessible in the Moodle learning environment.

Teaching methods

Studing this course is based to independent reading and information search and individual assignments. Besides independent work the studying includes also online discussions In Moodle studying environment and few tutoring webinars to be participated.

Exam schedules

No exam. The course's gradable task is a report. In case of failure, there will be a resubmission option with a separate deadline instructed in the course workspace on Moodle.
