Objective
After completing the course, you will understand the cost structure of manufacturing and the factors that have a significant impact on it. You are familiar with the main principles of choosing a manufacturing method, and are familiar with how to reduce costs per manufacturing method. Your understanding of the actual manufacturing costs of parts and products will increase. You also know how to make investment calculations for production machines and how to operate in an investment project. In addition, you are familiar with the indicators and key figures commonly used in production.

Teaching methods
Opintojakso on suunnattu opiskelijoille, joilla on jo perusosaaminen keskeisistä valmistusmenetelmistä sekä kyky lukea koneenpiirustuksia. Opetus suoritetaan etäopetuksena Moodle-oppimisalustan avulla. Moodle-alustalla on teoriatietoa aiheesta tiedostoina, linkkeinä ja videoina. Näiden tietojen pohjalta opiskelijat tekevät tehtäviä ja kokeita. Ohjausta annetaan viikottain etäohjauksena.
