Objective

You are able to understand the processes related to the manufacture of the product to be welded (laser cutting, edging and welding) in practice. You are able to take into account the material properties essentially related to sheet metal work when selecting and designing manufacturing methods. You are able to evaluate the advantages and limitations of different methods and, for example, the need for force and make choices about the manufacturing method based on them.

- Sheet metal and its material parameters and factors affecting formability
- Joining sheet metal, especially MIG / MAG welding
- Laser cutting, cutting parameters for structural steel
- Nesting
- Edging
- Welding by hand
- Quality check (Length dimensions: parts locations, A dimensions, angular dimensions)
