Objective

You know the theoretical foundations of thermal cutting and press braking. You are able to utilise the theory related to cutting and edging in product design. You know the basics of welding processes (MIG / MAG and TIG welding) and the main welding markings in the drawings. You are able to design thermally cut parts and welding assemblies. You also are able to make the documents required for the manufacture of a sheet metal product with CAD software.

- ISO GPS standards and general tolerances for sheet metal products
- Manufacture of steel plates and the basics of the study of materials in structural steels
- Sheet metal product modeling and assembly design
- Sheet metal product drawings
- Thermal cutting methods and data transfer
- Welding methods and markings
- Bending (edging) of metal sheets
- Straightened length of cold formed steel sheet
