Objective

- You understand the basic concept of green energy transition.
- You know the differences and opportunities f centralized and decentralised energy production.
- You recognise possibilities for the utilization of decentralised renewable energy technologies and for improving energy efficiency.

Online course. At your own pace until 31.5.2023.

Materials

All study materials are collected in Moodle-platform.

Teaching methods

This course will look into the principles of green energy transition. How can we shift from fossil-based energy to renewable energy and why is it important? Where can we apply decentralised renewable energy and what kind of renewable energy technologies are there? We will also look into the possibilities of energy efficiency which has a big importance in the energy transition.

Completion alternatives

Learning tasks can be returned also in Finnish.

2 ECTS corresponds approximately to 54 hours of work for the students.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved: Learning tasks of the course have been completed in accordance with the instructions. Student has achieved the learning goals of the course.
Rejected: Learning tasks of the course have not been completed in accordance with the instructions. Student has not achieved the learning goals of the course.
