Objective
You understand different types of discussions. You are able to understand spoken language and different dialects. You can use phrases of spoken language. You are able to participate in different types of discussions in Finnish.
Content
- You participate in discussions on various topics, e.g. food trends and traditional dishes, distance work, and plans for the holiday.
- You get familiar with the materials and vocabulary given and study Finnish phrases.
- You do exercises and write short texts based on the topics of the discussions.

Online meetings in Collaborate or Teams.

The materials used in the Moodle enivironment of the course.
Teaching methods
Targets:

- You are able to understand spoken language and different dialects.
- You can use phrases of spoken language.
- You are able to participate in different types of discussions in Finnish.
The study unit includes:
- You participate in discussions on various topics, e.g. food trends and traditional dishes, distance work, and plans for the holiday.
- You get familiar with the materials and vocabulary given and study Finnish phrases.
- You do exercises and write short texts based on the topics of the discussions.
The study unit includes online meetings and self-study. Familiarise the materials and vocabulary before the meeting. Participate in all discussions. After each discussion, you will also write a short text or do exercises on the topic.
Student workload
Online meetings 20 h + independent studying and the assignments 34 h.
