Objective
You learn to understand the threats to biodiversity of Finnish forests. You also learn how biodiversity is currently being protected by law and norms regulating Finnish forestry.
You also learn to recognize spots of high consevation value (protected by Forestry Act) and learn how Nature Conservation Act also has impact on forestry. You also learn to recognize larger areas suitable for permanent protection under Metso financing program.
You also learn what additional conservation requirements FSC and PEFC certication systems state for Finnish forestry.
