Product development methods and techniques learned on this course:
- creative concept generation using morfological table
- Pugh method, i.e. use of decision making matrix as complex problem solving method

Content
On this course, you will focus on one of the available challenges related to future technologies and human habitation of Mars.
This course has been developed together with NASA astronaut Dr. Charles Camarda.You will learn to solve complex real-life problems.You will learn to work in a multidisciplinary team in a professional manner. You will get to interact with experts and company representatives.

Teaching methods
The entire course is implemented remotely.
This course begins with four lectures, during which various early-stage problem-solving and innovation methods are introduced. The teaching of the methods makes use of examples related to the development of the technologies needed to inhabit the planet Mars.
After the lectures, students will have the opportunity to observe and participate in a real problem-solving process led by professionals to develop a solution to a real problem.
CHALLENGE:
The challenge that will be the focus of this course will be published in spring 2023.

This course is conducted in collaboration with the Epic Education Foundation from U.S. The course is origanally based on the Epic Challenge program developed by former NASA astronaut Charles Camarda. This course is also part of the INVEST University Alliance.
