Objective

You are able to plan, implement and evaluate the monitoring and strengthening of the health, well-being and resources of the expectant family in cooperation with the family

You are able to carry out health examinations of the expectant family, assess the health of the expectant mother and the fetus and the family, identify risk factors related to pregnancy and childbirth, and refer to treatment if necessary

You will be able to work in a sudden birth, perform a regular postpartum examination and assess the need for support for the newborn child and his or her family and take supportive measures.

You know the laws and recommendations related to the promotion of sexual and reproductive health. You know sexual rights and the development and manifestation of sexuality at different stages of a person’s life

You can describe your own abilities, professional activities and methods of sexual guidance in promoting sexual health and supporting couple relationship

You know the risk factors for sexual health and how to support clients who require special monitoring and support. You know how to guide and support clients in matters related to relationships and family planning

You know the methods of contraception and family planning, as well as the most common gynecological diseases

Content

Maternity care service system and legislation governing it. Family coaching, parenting training and support for couple relationship

Recognition of motherhood and fatherhood

Health examinations of the expectant mother and family during pregnancy, screening examinations, health counseling and guidance, the need for special support and follow-up. Risk factors for pregnancy and their identification and treatment guidance. Prevention and talk of substance abuse and intimate partner violence

Home visit to a family expecting a child / having a child

The course of childbirth, sudden delivery and follow-up of regular childbirth. Identification and treatment of postpartum depression

Promoting sexual and reproductive health
Sexuality at different stages of life and sexual education, guidance and counseling
Violence that offends sexuality
Contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and family planning, as well as the most common gynecological diseases
