Objective
You will be able to
-design, implement and evaluate the monitoring of the growth and development of the child, school-age and young people
-design and carry out health inspections
-action in cooperation with the parents of the child, school-age child and young person
-support for health-promoting choices for children, school-age and young people and students
-identify risk factors for the psychosocial well-being of children, school-age and adolescents and students and act to prevent them
-support and guide in matters related to health behavior, interpersonal relationships and study
-control practices that maintain and promote mental health
-encourage the family in parenting and the promotion and well-being of healthy lifestyles
-evaluate the need for special support and follow-up care for children, school-age children, young people and their families, as well as students (multidisciplinary culture)
- maintain and promote, in cooperation with families and various stakeholders, a safe growth community and environment
-Search for up-to-date and evidence-based information in databases and utilize the Neuko database in customer work
Content
-Legislation governing child health clinics and school and student health care
and services
-Health check-ups, health monitoring methods and assessment for children, schoolchildren and young people
-Student health examinations, health monitoring methods and assessment (including vocational examination)
-Safe and healthy school and learning community and environment
-Source support and family orientation; resourceful parenting, family life skills, parental health and well-being
-Strengthening inclusion, inclusive health promotion working methods and digital methods
- Lifestyle guidance, early intervention and addressing concerns e.g. school bullying and violence, mental health, weight management, intoxicants, sexual and reproductive health
-Early identification of the need for special support and research, support for long-term self-care and referral to follow-up care if necessary
-Pupil and student care activities, multidisciplinary cooperation
-Cooperation e.g. with child protection, youth work and organizations
