Objective

The student will be able to work closely with the stakeholders of forestry and/or energy and environmental engineering degree programmes (companies, communities, other organisations, projects) and be able to communicate effectively with them. The students will perform projects, studies, assessments, etc given by the stakeholders and will discuss and agree on the implementation methods and presentation of the results.The projects can include, to name a few, waste manaegment assessment of a company, study of the state of the environment of a village, market potential study, assessment of energy use in an office. The projects are gathered from Karelia stakeholders and presented at the end of the course.

Teaching methods

You will work together with a stakeholder form the field of forestry or energy and environmental engineering and perform projects provided by them. You will agree on the specifics of the work together with the stakeholder. The projects can include, for example waste manaegment assessment of a company, study of the state of the environment of a village, market potential study, assessment of energy use in an office.

This course is available only to exchange students in Energy and environmental engineering and Forestry.

Qualifications

You should have completed minimum two years of forestry or environmental (engineering) studies.
