Objective

After completing the module you will be able to the course, you will
- Outline the key aspects of human physical, motor, and psychosocial development across the lifespan.
- Explain the major organ systems of the human body.
- Describe the anatomical structures and physiological functions of the musculoskeletal system.
- Perform palpation of the bony structures of the musculoskeletal system.

Content

Anatomy and Physiology 3 ECTS
Content:
- Anatomical and physiological terminology, including Latin nomenclature
- Cardiovascular system
- Respiratory system
- Tissues and structures of the musculoskeletal system
- Digestive system and metabolism
- Nervous system and other regulatory systems

Functional Anatomy 4 ECTS
- Structure and function of the musculoskeletal system (bones, muscles, joints)
- Palpation of the major landmarks of the musculoskeletal system
- Assessment of human posture
- Clinical reasoning of muscle function in relation to postural assessment

Motor Development and Learning 4 ECTS
- Motor development across the lifespan
- Development of walking across the lifespan
- Motor control
