Objective

- You will be able to recognize and use the most important sound design methods. You are able to choose and run some effective sound design workflows and use right tools.
- You know the most common audio post-processing techniques and softwares used in them. You are able to identify and locate harmful effects and are able to correct them and their impact on the sound design.

Content

- Learning through examples and literature, sound design methods and history.
- Learning the sound processing methods, the effects of acoustics, psychoacoustics and technics.
- Learning audio workstations, audio post-processing tools and learn to use them effectively.
- Recording audio, editing audio material and prosessing audio in line with planned.

- Literature, virtual materials, and other self-study 40 hours.
- Lectures, planning(group) and exercises 30 hours
- Own exercises under the guidance of a teacher r30 hours

Cumulative assessment criteria:

Student

1-2:

Student knows the most common sound design techniques and knows how to use them in the tasks they perform.

3-4:
Student knows how to build functional, multifaceted structures specific to sound design.
is able to create an interesting and good sounding soundflow.
5:
Student is able to produce good sounding and technically fine designed sound files, mix them together and is able to justify
the solutions and their styles. Exercises and the final sound mixes exceed the "publishing threshold".

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

Does not master the basic principles of sound design and is not able to utilize the skills learned in the given exercises. Has not been active enough in his/her studies.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Student knows the most common sound design techniques and knows how to use them in the tasks they perform.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Student knows how to build functional, multifaceted structures specific to sound design. Student is able to create an interesting and good sounding soundflow.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student is able to produce good sounding and technically fine designed sound files, mix them together and is able to justify
the solutions and their styles. Exercises and the final soundmixes exceed the "publishing threshold".

- Optional studies students: Other similar studies in their own training program or other educational institutions in the field.
