Objective

Student knows the standards for the organisational environmental management, life cycle analyses and carbon neutrality. Student knows the practices of the life cycle carbon footprint modelling, and the broader context for managing the greenhouse gas emissions. Student knows the expert services on climate-themed businesses, and can assess their risks and opportunities.

Content

- Standards for the environmental management, life cycle analyses and carbon neutrality (ISO 14000 series)
- Greenhouse gas management, including emission sources, sinks and storages, carbon footprint modelling with life cycle analyses, emission compensations in voluntary and compliance markets, and communicating and reporting the carbon neutrality.
- Climate business: examples of the business activities on greenhouse gas management, including project expertise and administration, verification of carbon sinks and storages / technical consultation, trade of carbon offsets, and climate-neutral business enterprises.
