The students knows:
- the basic concepts of natural science
- how to apply their knowledge of environmental engineering applications
- laboratory methods of water and soil analysis
- how to work safely in laboratory environment.

- Chemical interactions and nomenclature
- Mole, gases, water vapor and RH
- The concentration calculations
- Reaction equation, RedOx- Acids, bases, pH and chemical balance
- Electrochemistry and corrosion, corrosion in the aquatic environment
