By the end of the course, you will be able to describe your studies, skills and future career in English, both orally and in writing. You will use good communication style and the communication style and terminology specific to your field. You will be able to interact orally in both face-to-face and technology-mediated situations. You will be able to understand the main points of longer texts and summarise the main content of what you read and hear in English.

Text skills and written communication:
- factual texts: reading strategies, vocabulary and vocabulary learning strategies
- summarising key content
- email communication
- Identifying and writing a factual text
- Basics of reporting
Oral communication:
- describing your studies
- telephone communication, e.g. making appointments
- presenting your future profession
- conversational phrases for work life
- group discussion based on a case study, in multi-professional teams.
