Objective

The student becomes acquainted with the topic discussed during the course by completing a tutorial assignment that is essentially related to the subject.

Content

Student will return written report according guidance given by teacher.

Spring 2021. Karelia University of Applied Sciences Wärtsilä campus and e-learning environments. Possibly also site visits.

Material provided by the competition organizer and the educational institution.

The student participates in the wooden bridge of private roads idea competition in the team of Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Employer connections

The student participating in the implementation develops his / her teamwork skills and also receives guidance from the competition organizer's experts. Possibly also from the business partners of Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Exam schedules

There is no exam for the course. The student receives the credits after being active in the competition team, when the competition team has returned and received feedback on the competition work.

Student workload

The scope of the course is 3 cr, which corresponds to a workload of about 80...90 hours for the student. The use of time and the division of tasks are monitored at guidance sessions.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved performance: The student has actively participated in the activities of the competition team and has contributed to the completion of the competition performance on time.

Rejected performance: The student has not participated in the activities of the competition team and has not participated in the production of the competition performance.
