Objective

You know the importance of renewable energy in the Finnish and European society. You know what increasing the use of renewable energy sources is based on, and how their use can be controlled. You understand how and to where the different types of renewable energy can be used. You know the environmental impact of energy production. You know the biomasses for energy using fuel specifications. You know the energy resources business opportunities. You know the different renewable energy sources and how to use them.

Content

Energy production and use in Finland. Operating in the energy sector. Feed-in tariffs, emission trading and other energy production and the use of control mechanisms and legal matters. Energy-conversion coefficients and energy trading. Renewable energy sources (biomass, water, sun, wind). The use of the renewable energy. Renewable energy-based energy production. Energy efficiency. Energy emissions and environmental impact. Energy from waste. Renewable energy as part of decentralized energy production system.
