Objective
The course introduces students to the principles of team and project work and practices team and project work. During the course, students identify employers and/or career paths (incl. entrepreneurship) that interest them, practice the recognition of their own competence, develop their corporate cooperation expertise and contact professionals in their field.
Content
The course provides the necessary preparation for those students who wish to continue with the Future Talents Team Project course. Registration for the Future Talents Team Project course requires that the course in question has first been successfully completed.

Learning outcomes
The student is able to reflect, identify and verbalise his/her competence in a concrete way from the perspective of working life and to recognise the significance of both generic and field-specific skills in recognising competence.
The student recognizes different rules of working life and gains confidence in the transition to working life in Finland
The student understands the practices and basics of business cooperation and entrepreneurship in Eastern Finland
The student understands the importance of networking in building working life contacts and business cooperation
Generic skills
The implementation of the course promotes generic skills in self-management, teamwork, information management, internationalisation, interaction skills and the identification and development of one's own competence.
Content
The course familiarises students in practice with the principles of team and project work. During the course, students identify employers and/or career paths that interest them (incl. entrepreneurship), practice identifying and verbalising their own competence, develop their business cooperation skills and contact professionals in their field.
The course provides the necessary skills for those students who want to continue to the Future Talents Team Project course. Enrolment for the Future Talents Team Project course requires that this orientating course has first been successfully completed.
Modes of study and assessment criteria
The student familiarizes themselves with the materials and materials presented in the learning environment and completes the given assignments. The student participates in compulsory training and mutually agreed meetings (80%). Being active and interacting with other students is an essential part of learning. To pass the course, it is also required that the given assignments have been completed passably. The exercises are primarily done as group work, with the exception of job search documents.

It is recommended that you familiarise yourself with the material of the Towards Working Life in Eastern Finland online course.
