Are you interested in meaningful work with older adults?
You are engaging with a valuable cause and age group. As an Elderly Care Professional —a multidisciplinary expert in elderly care—you will support the well-being, functional capacity, and quality of life of older adults, while promoting their ability to live a good life in their own way. As the population ages, the need for professionals in elderly care continues to grow—both now and in the future.

In this study module, you will explore the role of an Elderly Care Professional, the required professional competencies, and the gerontology education offered at Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Topics covered in the module include:
• Characteristics of an Elderly Care Professional
• What does education include and what is blended learning like?
• Where and in what kinds of roles can you work as an Elderly Care Professional?

The “Could I be an Elderly Care Professional?” study module is intended for anyone considering gerontology studies and wanting to explore the field and the education before making an application decision.

Join us boldly and find your place in the future of elderly care!
