Objective

The student understands the key factors and areas related to well-being at work and understands what managing well-being at work is. The student understands the importance of occupational well-being management in the successful operation of an organization.

Content

The main content of the course: well-being at work, management of well-being at work, values ​​and ethical issues in the work community, occupational health and safety, occupational health and safety, key laws related to well-being at work. In addition, the importance of culture and art in work communities.

Location and time

In the Moodle learning environment and on the Wärtsilä campus.

Materials

The material for the face-to-face teaching will be added to the Moodle learning environment after the meeting, which also contains recordings and other knowledge bases. In addition, this book (Marja-Liisa Manka and Marjut Manka: Työhyvinvointi 2023) must be studied for this course.

Teaching methods

The course Managing Wellbeing at Work consists of time- and place-independent learning on the Moodle learning platform and a few scheduled face-to-face meetings. The course is worth 4 credits, or just over 100 hours of student work.

Factors affecting well-being at work.
