You are able to search for the information you need and evaluate the reliability of sources. You can also assess your own communication skills.
Content
The study unit includes:
- principles of university level writing
- document standard and reporting according to thesis instructions
- summarising, citations, and references
- information retrieval and source criticism
- language planning.

The course will include an in-depth overview of information retrieval and an introduction to the most important sectoral resources, provided by the Karelia Library. Aim: Students will be able to search, evaluate and use resources in their studies and identify the main sources of information in their field.
