Objective
On completion of this course, you will be able to determine the loads on articulated beams, frames and arches and to solve the rod forces of a truss. You will also be able to perform torsional and combined stress design of structures.

Teaching methods
Opintojaksolla käydään lävitse:
- Erilaisten kehärakenteiden rasitusten määrittäminen. Nivelpalkki, nivelpalkki jäykällä tuella, jäykkä kehä, nivelkehä, kehä erikoron tuilla ja kaari.
- Ristikon sauvavoimien ratkaisu eri menetelmillä. (Ritter ja Cremona)
- Vääntörasitukset
- Eulerin nurjahdusteoria. Nurjahdusmitoituksen periaate
