Objective
You know how to compare welding with other joining methods in order to find an economical manufacturing method. You know the different welding processes and the materials used in them and you know how to choose the most suitable one for the purpose of use. You know the possibilities offered by high-strength steels and you recognise the factors affecting their weldability.
Content
- Determinants of welding productivity
- The concept of weldability
- Welding methods
- Deformations and residing welding stress
- Weldability of materials
- Considerations for the design of the structure to be welded
- Robotic arc welding
- Occupational safety in welding
