Objective

You understand the causes of soil contamination, such as the activities that cause soil pollution and the most common contaminants. You know soil chemistry related to the theme. You are able to design a sampling programme for soil samples and you can apply a standard basis for sampling. You are familiar with the methods for soil remediation and legislation. After completing the course, you have an overview of soil remediation processes, and you are able to apply this knowledge for planning and implementing soil remediation projects.
