Objective
One learns to use OS GIS programs (mostly QGIS) and utilize free GIS datasets available online.
Content
QGIS installation to PC computer and Android handsets. Basic use of QGIS program. Basics of GIS and mapping (map objects, data types, ellipsoids, projections, coordinate systems): Open data sources, INSPIRE directive and different possibilities to utilize open GIS data.
Location and time
Continuous registration, independent assignments using QGIS and downloadable material.
