Objective

You will know how energy efficiency services and improvement projects are managed and what type of technologies are implemented in them. You know the standards and guidelines for energy efficiency, and how they are implemented in practice. You will have an understanding of the role of energy services in the broader context of organisational sustainability development. You will be able to manage and lead teams in energy and circular economy services and coordinate customer service cases. You can improve energy and service efficiencies, and carry out development for continuous improvement.

Content

Professional tasks:
• Management of the energy services to meet customer needs
• Leading a professional team
• Improving energy and service efficiency and carrying out continuous development processes
Product:
• A portfolio based on case study assignments on energy service management, energy efficiency solutions and professional team leadership.

Location and time

Online studies with your own pace, schedule for the online classes will be updated later. Online classes will be recorded.

Materials

All the study materials will be collected to Moodle platform.

Student workload

Course is 5 ECTS which corresponds approximately to 135 hours workload for the student.

This course is a Masters-level course. The student must have prior work experience of a minimum of 2 years and an applicable background degree. (See Sustainability Management admission criteria at: https://www.karelia.fi/en/sustainability-management/ .)

This course is part of the Sustainability Management Master’s Degree. If a student is selected for the programme later, it will be acknowledged.
