Objective

You are able to search various databases to find professional and scientific articles related to your field of study and you understand the structure, specific features and terminology of a scientific article. You can read scientific articles related to your field of study and you are able to summarize the core content from these articles in writing. You can write an abstract. You can give an oral presentation on a topic related to your field of study and you understand the core content from the presentations given by others. Considering cultural differences, you can communicate appropriately both verbally and in writing in guidance and counselling situations related to nursing care.

Teaching methods

Osaat hakea oman alan ammatillisia ja tieteellisiä tekstejä eri tietokannoista ja ymmärrät tieteellisen artikkelin rakenteen, erityispiirteet ja terminologian. Osaat tulkita oman alan tieteellisiä artikkeleita ja osaat laatia kirjallisen yhteenvedon artikkelin keskeisestä sisällöstä. Osaat laatia abstraktin. Pystyt pitämään suullisen esityksen omaan alaan liittyvästä aiheesta ja ymmärrät keskeisen sisällön muiden pitämistä esityksistä. Osaat viestiä asianmukaisesti hoitotyön ohjaus- ja neuvontatilanteissa sekä suullisesti että kirjallisesti ottaen huomioon kulttuuriset lähtökohdat
