- you know how to communicate your competences when applying for a job

- you understand the main parts of Finnish Labor legislation and know your rights as an employee in Finland

Content

- Recognising your skills, competences and strengths
- Communicating your competences to recruiters
- Documents for job search (f.e. CV, videos, job application, portfolio)
- Practising for a job interview
- Getting to know the Finnish recruitment process as a whole
- Getting to know the basics of Finnish Labor legislation
- Information, guidance, advice and support

Location and time

Wärtsilä-campus, starting from week 43

Materials

Materials provided by the teacher (Moodle).

Teaching methods

This course will simulate and take the students through a typical Finnish recruitment process.

The course includes contact teaching, group work and independent study.

Lectures 20 hours (10 meetings)
Group work 10 hours
Job application documents and other independent assignments / studying 24 hours

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Active participation and presence (min. 80 %) on lectures and completing the tasks
