Objective

The aim of the key figures and management course is that you know how to analyze and develop the operations of the retail department on the basis of figures and understand the formation of results at the level of the entire trade. In addition, you know the role of a merchant as the leader of your business.

The aim of the course is:
- Be able to plan sales and returns in different commodity sectors
- Manage budgeting and efficient staff sizing
- Be able to evaluate the efficiency of trade and the efficiency of operations
- Be able to plan a convincing presentation situation
- Understand the role of the merchant as an employer, entrepreneur and manager of their business

Content

Income and expenses of the department, management of the department, formation of the result of the transaction and future trading.

Location and time

Spring 2025, online studies - a remote implementation not tied to time or place.

Materials

Materials in the learning environment and additional literature.

Teaching methods

The goal of the "Key Performance Indicators and Management" course is that you can analyze and develop the operations of a retail department based on figures and understand how profit is generated at the store-wide level. Additionally, you will become familiar with the role of a retailer as the leader of their store.

The objectives of the course are:
- To be able to plan the sales and profitability of different product categories in a store
- To master budgeting and efficient staffing
- To be capable of evaluating the store's efficiency and operational performance
- To be able to plan a convincing presentation
- To understand the retailer’s role as an employer, entrepreneur, and leader of their store
