Objective

The course examines trade as a workplace; trade security and risk management; department staff management and development as well as sales management.

The aim of the course is:
- You are able to sell yourself to the store for work
- You manage the security and risks of trade
- You are able to take over the work team of the sales department, emphasizing active sales
- You are able to manage the sales of the trade department

Content

Trade as a workplace, trade security and risk management, personnel management and development, and sales management.

Location and time

Spring 2025, online studies - a remote implementation independent of time and place.

Materials

Materials in the learning environment and other literature.

Teaching methods

The goal is that, while working in a store, you will be able to lead the sales of your department and manage your team’s activities in a customer-oriented, sales-focused, inspiring, and regulatory-compliant manner.

The course examines retail as a workplace; store safety and risk management; leadership and development of department personnel; and sales management.

The objectives of the course are:

- The student is able to sell themselves into a retail job
- The student understands store safety and risks
- The student knows how to manage a retail department team, with an emphasis on active selling
- The student is capable of leading the sales of a retail department
