Objective

You improve your skills in written expression. After having completed the course you will be able to write scientific text and you will be able to master the essential factors of reporting. You learn to produce reports, which are conform with the instructions and fulfill the quality criteria and you are able to evaluate your own information skills. You see the significance of written expression and a part of the own learning process and development of own professional skills.

Content

Reporting according to the thesis instructions. Principles of writing on the level of higher education. Different types of texts in connection with the investigative reporting and how to recognize them. Technics and processes in writing. Structure and analysis of texts. Presentation of the products to the group. Language planning and maintenance.

Teaching methods

Opiskelija oppii tuottamaan ohjeistuksen mukaisia, laadulliset kriteerit täyttäviä kirjallisia tehtäviä ja osaa arvioida omaa viestintäosaamistaan. Opiskelija ymmärtää kirjoitusviestinnän merkityksen osana oppimisprosessiaan ja oman ammattitaitonsa kehittämistä.
