Objective

Understand wind power technology and the basics of wind power production. Determine wind speed and wind resource based on spatial data and use this knowledge to calculate wind resource for wind power production. Command the use of calculations for wind efficiency and power generation in different wind conditions. The goal is for you to understand the meaning of location and wind power technology for singular wind plants as well as wind farms as a prerequisite for a viable business. Know the relevant permit solutions and impact assessment for building a wind farm. Complete a rough plan for a wind power plant within a larger wind farm project.

Content

The main contents of the course include:
- Wind power technology
- Evaluate wind resource and output
- Calculate wind energy production and viability
- Wind power construction and the relating planning and permit solutions
