Objective

You evaluate your own vaccination skills and wanted to develop as a vaccineer
You know and know how to justify the need for vaccination to the individual, the community and society
You know the diseases that can be prevented by vaccinations, you can tell about their symptoms, treatment instructions and complications
You know how acquired immunity is formed
You will know the different types of vaccines and the basics of the composition of vaccines
You can find out what a national vaccination program is and how vaccination is defined by law
You are familiar with the vaccines included in the national vaccination program
You will be able to assess the benefits and drawbacks of vaccinating or not vaccinating when making a vaccination decision
You can guide the customer based on the latest evidence-based information
You can tell the client about vaccination recommendations and justify the benefits of vaccinations
You can tell the client what his or her informed decision means when vaccinating
You know how to plan and implement a vaccination situation based on the client's needs
You know the contraindications and precautions for vaccination
You know how to vaccinate safely and skillfully by mastering different vaccination techniques
You can record vaccinations correctly
You know how to properly transport, store and dispose of vaccines and vaccine equipment
You will be able to monitor the client's condition after vaccination and make a follow-up vaccination plan
You will be able to discuss the possible side effects of vaccinations and give treatment instructions
You recognize the anaphylactic reaction, know how to initiate the necessary treatment procedures, and deliver the client for further treatment

Content

In the Basics of Vaccination Skills section, you will learn about the knowledge base and vaccination skills of vaccination.
The Knowledge Base section reviews the theoretical background to vaccination, such as the diseases to be prevented and the benefits of vaccines.
You will learn to guide and support the client in their vaccination decision and you will be able to justify your actions based on up-to-date and researched information.
The Vaccination Skills section focuses on safe vaccination.
Familiarize yourself with various vaccination techniques and the treatment of possible side effects of vaccination.

Teaching methods

The course is conducted in the Moodle environment and includes assignments to be returned for evaluation

Student workload

2 credits correspond to 54 hours of the student's work

Previous studies must have been successfully completed
- Nursing skill 5 credits,
- Internal medicine nursing 5 credits,
- Infection control and treatment 1 credit,
- Fundamentals of drug and fluid therapy 1 credit,
- Applied drug and fluid therapy 1 credit and
- In-depth drug and fluid treatment 1 ECTS has been started.
The previous total number of credits must be at least 100 credits.

Internal medicine nursing 5 credits,
Infection control and treatment 1 credit, as well as
Basics of drug and fluid therapy 1 credit, Applied drug and fluid therapy 1 credit and Advanced drug and fluid therapy 1 credit started.
The total number of previous studies must be at least 100 credits.
