Tavoitteet
The aim of the intensive programme is to explore current questions related to economics and business between Russia and Finland/ EU. The programme brings together Karelia UAS degree and exchange students, Russian university students and Russian and Finnish experts on economics, business and forestry. The five-day study excursion to St.Petersburg hosted by St.Petersburg State Forest Techical University introduces the Russian operational environment. Planning and carrying out the programme for the Russian partners in Joensuu teaches hosting and more multicultural group work skills.

Preliminary studying for compiling a report in mixed groups with Russian and Karelia students on the following topics in January-February:
-The roles of the Russian Federation and Finland in the world economy.
-Foreign trade between Finland and the Russian Federation.
-Foreign trade between North Karelia and the Russian Federation
-The present and future of the forest sector in the Russian Federation and Finland
-The possibilities for businesses in the Saint Petersburg region and North Karelia.
Active participation in the six-day excursion programme in Russia, St.Petersburg, in February: lectures, group work, company visits, get-togethers, cultural programme.
Planning and hosting the five-day excursion of our Russian partners to Joensuu and Karelia UAS in April: lectures, company visits, get-togethers, cultural programme.
