Objective
General Objectives of Physiotherapy Practice:
Physiotherapy practice is a learning process aimed at familiarizing the student with the key practical tasks of the physiotherapist profession (Karelia University of Applied Sciences Degree Regulations 2020).
In physiotherapy practice, the student applies, analyzes, and evaluates their own competencies broadly across the core areas of physiotherapy expertise.
In physiotherapy practice, the student applies, analyzes, and evaluates evidence-based knowledge, skills, and competencies needed at various stages of physiotherapy processes.
In physiotherapy practice, the student applies, analyzes, and evaluates their knowledge, skills, and competencies in various physiotherapy work and operational environments, with different clients and patients, as well as with different client and patient groups.
Content
Physiotherapy Practice
= Physiotherapy aimed at promoting the well-being and health of children and adolescents.
The practical training includes a knowledge base on pediatric and adolescent physiotherapy. Key topics include guidance for children and adolescents, sports injuries and scoliosis.
Practice locations: School health care, education sector, early childhood education (daycare centers), sports clubs TARMO learning environment.
