Objective
The student understands the key factors and areas related to well-being at work and understands what managing well-being at work is. The student understands the importance of occupational well-being management in the successful operation of an organization.
Content
The main content of the course: well-being at work, management of well-being at work, values and ethical issues in the work community, occupational health and safety, occupational health and safety, key laws related to well-being at work. In addition, the importance of culture and art in work communities.
Location and time
Non-time and place-bound study at the Zoom of the Moodle learning environment of Karelia University of Applied Sciences, as well as face-to-face meetings at times specified in the rules of procedure.
Materials
Learning material to be distributed during the course and one book: Marja-Liisa Manka: Työhyvinvointi.
Teaching methods
You will understand the key factors and areas related to well-being at work and understand what managing well-being at work is. In addition, you understand the importance of work well-being management in the successful operation of an organization.
We utilize online pedagogy in the course, and three face-to-face meetings are arranged during the course. The online pedagogy of the course enables the student to study independently without time and place.
The competence of the course is verified through intermediate exams, a reflective individual essay and group work based on working life.
